Now entering its second decade, the organization stands at an inflection point. With expanded legislative investment – including a significant $30 million appropriation in 2023 – the CARE Fund is positioned to deepen its statewide impact and further elevate Washington’s leadership in cancer research. The next Executive Director will step into this moment of momentum, inheriting a strong foundation built through thoughtful stewardship and strategic growth. This leader will have the opportunity to shape the future of CARE Fund by advancing a clear vision, strengthening legislative and research partnerships, and ensuring that investments continue to deliver meaningful outcomes for patients, communities, and the broader life sciences ecosystem.
